Shaping the future
We have always invested in growth to ensure a solid future for our employees, customers and other stakeholders, during good times and bad. Over the years, this company tradition has been honoured with much care and drive, ensuring that innovation is deeply rooted within SD Worx. We approach innovation from many different angles, from developing a brand-new idea to the smart(er) usage of existing technology and data – and all possible combinations in between.
Data and
insights via our
new cloud data
platform
As a large and long-standing organisation, we have an enormous volume of data at our disposal. This fuels a growing HR analytics portfolio and products such as our Performance Dashboard. Via extensive customer discussions and thorough market research, we analyse what kind of products and services are expected regarding data and insights. During our quest last year, the rapid evolution of cloud data platforms really stood out. Hence, the development of our own cloud data platform, which we will roll out in the next three years. The first pilot customers are scheduled in mid 2021.
Getting
the overall picture
To perform top-notch HR analytics and to install meaningful dashboards, customers need all HR data as well as input from other departments, such as sales or finance. Nowadays, spreadsheets and other tools are usually linked to have an accurate overview.
For good insights into absenteeism, the data from a time and attendance system will reveal more than payroll data, for instance. Location data can be useful in some cases. To keep track of productivity or workload, it is possible to achieve better insights by linking wages, costs, absenteeism, number of FTEs, etc., and by connecting the data from a ticketing system, for example.
Maximum flexibility
SD Worx enriches HR data with sound interpretations for usage in KPIs. Our new cloud data platform will then allow customers to inject these data into their own dashboards and analysis tools, allowing them to work in their environment of choice. While some customers are already experienced in composing these HR metrics, others require additional support. SD Worx will offer these consultancy services too, if wanted. With this approach, our customers get more flexibility, which has proven to be crucial in the new normal.
Stronger strategy
More flexibility is one asset; gaining time and efficiency, reducing margin of error and analysing HR data in a relevant way are other advantages. This enables our customers to take well-founded decisions and thus heighten the strategic role of HR within their organisations.

Learning – coaching
learning partner
As a large and long-standing organisation, we also have tons of expertise at our disposal. We offer this knowledge in all of our services, specifically bundled by theme in our learning sessions. Traditionally, we approached these learning sessions as an opportunity to personally interact and engage with our customers at the same time. As a result, we mainly focussed on face-to-face classes on location. Evolutions such as lower mobility, the race for time efficiency and the low-touch economy have raised the need for digital learning opportunities in recent years. To meet this need, we added live and on-demand webinars to our learning portfolio in 2017. When COVID made e-learning mandatory, we – and our customers – continued to experience the advantages of digital learning.
Plan
2020-2025
Time for change! We would not be SD Worx if we didn’t set the bar high: we seek to be the leading digital learning channel for HR and payroll content in Europe by 2025.
In order to achieve this, we need a cross-country offering and scalable content that is in line with our business strategy.
We will therefore broaden our portfolio from mainly social legal, payroll and software training to a full learning experience covering the entire employee journey such as staffing and recruitment, core HR, payroll and reward, workforce management, talent management, etc. As a customer-centred HR specialist, we are in an ideal position to advise not only individuals – i.e. by identifying which learning paths are most relevant in each employee’s situation – but also the organisation. We can help customers determine which learning paths are most relevant for their companies.
Content and form
Our role as learning partner thus shifts towards coaching and consultancy on all HR matters from A to Z: SD Worx can help with the implementation of that advice afterwards if needed. By offering a comprehensive portfolio and with maximal flexibility, which is vital in future-proof HR, we aim to offer key differentiators.
Creating the best-possible digital learning experience is also a necessary step toward realising our ambition. First, we will valorise and pour our knowledge into the right digital content. With the support of our dedicated, multidisciplinary teams, tactics and tools from content marketing will be deployed to enhance brand awareness and attract new customers. We will use smart content driven by customer behaviour and data to suggest learning paths. The SD Worx Learning platform and app will be the place to be for customers, employees, companies and students, anyone who wants to learn – anywhere, anytime.
Training experts
Because we believe in learning journeys, we will develop several subscription formulas. In some cases, participants will have the opportunity to take an exam and then receive a certificate, which they can add as a badge to their LinkedIn profiles, for example. We will set the bar high to ensure that certificates stand as proof that participants have achieved expert level in a particular HR matter.
Time to make the best of it
In 2021, we will further innovate and experiment with small building blocks. With best practices as a blueprint, we will create the best-possible SD Worx Learning platform in the following years and unroll it across all SD Worx countries.
